Lorenzo,
I love this email of yours.
It explains a specific goal you wish to achieve (more traffic on
website), the goal is valuable for community members, and has a very
clear and achievable message for OSGeo community members (get a banner
on the website). And creating a little public pressure by publishing the
projects doing the right thing is good too.
I strongly encourage you to copy the text of this email into your press
releases at: http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/FOSS4G_2010#Press_Releases
That way future conferences will think to send out such an email too.
It would also be valuable if there were a similar email for planet.osgeo
bloggers, if anyone wishes to compile and then check such a list.
