Hi Steven,

Some clues you can find in a SEIS State of Play report I wrote for EC and
EEA in 2010. It was based upon national reports and as SEIS COM actually
directly pointed at FOSS as the most wanted solution for SEIS
implementation, the indicator No 31 addresses this topic. I recall initially
I proposed 3 indicators related to FOSS but there was not enough information
in the member states for them to be filled.

Here's the report:

Subject: [OSGeo-Discuss] Open Source usage in European Public Sector

I am looking for some help with a few key statistics to use in my opening
presentation at FOSS4G

Does any one have some info on

1.	the number of EU countries that have IT procurement policies which
encourage or mandate the use of open source?
2.	which countries have based their INSPIRE activities on open source
geo (I suspect most but would like confirmation)

Thanks for any help you can give me

See you in Mappingham tomorrow

______
Steven
