Speaking for myself, I would totally come (from Seattle) for a Timbers game.
I can't realistically represent people who are uninterested in soccer, so that's just me.

I think that feasible dates for the field trip are evenings Sept 7-12,
with light attendance on the 7th or 12th. I don't have the evening
schedule in front of me right now to see what else is scheduled, but
Monday night seems like perhaps the best night for a field trip.

I think it is a smashing idea, even if it is only west/northwest attendees. Though it should probably not be the main "field trip". What a great introduction to Portland. I may be biased...
