[foss4g2014] On Travel Grants/Scholarships

While there is a lot of budgetary benefits in planning a fixed dollar per attendee (pot of gold/$1500 = additional # of GeoHappiness), I agreed with Kristin’s suggestion regarding asking for request specific levels of support to maximize reach.  I probably would say we should ask the keynoters/other paid speakers the same (?)  

I'm for expanding the bounding box, but some thoughts on the diversification; easy to distinguish women/men with checkbox (by international names on list, maybe not so), then definition of minorities at a international conference is what exactly….
