Hey rob,
the weekend before is more an inofficial "come together" - there are no
official events these days. The official program starts on monday 22dn
with the workshops, so this seems to be the perfect date ;-)
How many attendees do you expect? In general funny thing, we would
become problems with accommodation if goingl ateri nto september, so
that's the reason for the early date.
If you end up begin of september, I agree, we should think, if there is
anything we might offer.
I know that some communities sometimes started a week-lasting
codesprint before or afterwards, so that could be s.th. we might keep in
mind. But that's more activity on the FOSS4G side ;-)
Let's first wait until you have your definite schedule, ok?
