In general though, we can learn from this experience, for 2016: some 
very important parts of a FOSS4G event are often (always) not dealt with 
by the local committee, until the community asks just weeks before 
(causing extra stress and pressure on the local committee).  These parts 
include BOFs, code sprint, OSGeo Annual General Meeting, Sol Katz Award, 
the next year FOSS4G announcement....and there are likely others.

So we can learn from this, for 2016, and make sure we plan well ahead 
for these small but super important items.
