Hi Venka,

That point has come to our PR&Marketing minds.
it has pro's and con's, but we regard focussing on the "core" conference is a better message for the "outer circle"; the people that are not well know to FOSS4G yet. To announce a conference of an entire week is a bit to much for them. 
The inner circle (people who already know about foss4g) will look a bit further in our messages, and discover that -as usual- workshops and code sprints are organized

After all, Woodstock was also 3 days ;-)

Dear All,

Would it not be better to changes the dates on the poster and other marketing materials to 21-28 August considering that workshops and code sprints are an important and integral part of FOSS4G conferences.

This will also help in participants getting travel budgets for the entire duration of the event.
