[FOSS4G2016] Update on FOSS4G Video recording, live-stream and publishing by CCC VOC

Hello,

I talked to Peter Körner from the CCC Video Operation Center (CCC VOC) 
https://c3voc.de/. They recorded and published the FOSSGIS talkes in the 
last years.

I asked the CCC VOC wether they could do the recording for FOSS4G 2016.

This mail gives an update about what is discussed till now.

* it does not look like they offer active mixing, live-stream, 
postprocessing and publishing

Background what we need
* we have 8 rooms with talks
* we want to offer live-steam and recording for all tracks during 3 days
* we need angels to help with the recording (when CCC VOC does the 
recording)


CCC VOC would offer
* active mixing
* live-stream - every room, for differnt browser and audio devices
* postprocessing (with prefix (Vorspann) and credits (Abspann)
* publishing - publishing on https://vimeo.com/foss4g like all other 
FOSS4Gs
* when the team leaves the conference all videos are published
* CCC VOC has no problem to provide equipement for 5 rooms. For the 
rooms left we can think about a cooperation with the WCCB staff or rent 
more equipement
* Plenarsaal: CCC VOC would work together with the WCCB team in the 
Plenarsaal (WCCB team for the sound & presentation in the room and CCC 
VOC for the recording/streaming - this team work worked fine on other 
conferences)
* CCC VOC team whould come with 3-4 persons (1 postprocessing, 2 for the 
rooms, 1 operator)
* CCC VOC would come to Bonn before the conference to have a look at the 
rooms


CCC VOC what they need / costs
* 2 angels per room for the recording, mixing and to take care about the 
speaker!!!!
* at least 1 person for the whole 3 days to help with the postprocessing
* persons to take care about the angel system, if angels fall out they 
have to be replaced at once. CCC VOC relies on the angel system
* cost for the work. maybe higher than the costs offered by WCCB at the 
moment. But we get high quality and everything is finished after the 
conference
* 4 x accommodation (maybe bonnox)
* 4 x travel costs
* equipment transport from St. Augustin to Bonn (maybe with a sprinter)
* equipment transport from Bonn to Berlin (shipping company - Spedition)
* conference system frab is needed: frab offers xml file with all the 
information about the talk and the speaker. this file is needed for the 
prefix and credit


CCC VOC Open Issues
* CCC VOC is on Froscon in St. Augustin at the weekend before FOSS4G
* good: because the equipement is already close to Bonn
* not good: because it is not clear if the team has enough staff to come 
to FOSS4G

Questions to FOSS4G team
* do wee need a bill or prefer to buy hardware
* what about the 3 rooms left - how shall the recording be done? Do we 
rent the equipement

I did not forget anything or described it in a wrong way.

Peter will now ask his team and find out wether they have enough stuff. 
Would be great to have CCC VOC at FOSS4G!
