Sorry for that, I realise that I missed to follow some mailing lists and
maybe few of us follow osgeo-discuss directly.
We were currently discussing about the french FOSS4G organisation, which
should fall in june, 9th to 11th near Paris, when we learned about the
ISPRS event thanks to Didier Richard working at IGN.
This lead us to some confusion about what to do FOSS4G-FR and ISPRS.

We are facing some options actually :

- Maintain our FOSS4G (not announced yet but ENSG buildings already
booked) and ask for volunteers to help also with the ISPRS . I'm afraid we
already lack volunteers for one event, splitting them in two locations is
far from ideal
- Move our FOSS4G along the ISPRS event. I'm afraid this will be a great
challenge to find accommadation and local volunteers
- Reduce our FOSS4G perimeter to the ISPRS'one, and get involved with you
and participate to the OSGEO village
- Maybe move our FOSS4G to automn 2020 and give a hand to ISPRS. Not
discussed yet in the chapter.

We trying to get in touch with some local organizers to see if moving a
FOSS4G-FR to Nice would be feasable.

Are there people of OSGeo- Fr who can be interested?

I think the remote sensing and IGN community is for sure in the loop. The
other side of geospatial community was just not that aware at all of this
event (including me). We will have to clarify if ISPRS goes on broader
topics so that we can somehow merge events, or go for a different formula
once.

I am very concerned about the registration fees of this event, that are
really expensive and do not match the same audience as in national FOSS4G.
Is there any option to have reduced fees for a osgeo side event? I'd be
annoyed if only big institutions could participate.

Shall we speak via skype sometimes next week?
