Scheduling Meeting: August 22nd.

Folks,

I would like to hold a fundraising meeting in IRC on this coming Tuesday
(1 week from now) at the "usual" time.

I haven't heard much specificity with regard to alternatives to my
sponsorship proposal.  If there aren't viable alternatives, then I would
like to get it refined and approved unless the committee is convinced it is
a terrible idea.

I have folks who have allocated money in their budget and would like to
proceed with sponsorship but I have had to put them off.

Also, as is clear from how few meetings we have had, and how little I have
done, I am a pretty crappy Fundraising Chair.  I really only took the
position because I felt fairly strongly about my sponsorship proposal and
wanted to get it through.  If anyone else is interested in taking the "chair"
role for the Fundraising committee, I would be thrilled to give it up.  In
fact, if we can't agree on a sponsorship proposal I'll likely resign the
chair to precipitate identification of a more effective chair.
