Comment:

 Mike, in what situations does this come up?  There are only two calls to
 this function in Fusion - one is from RectTool.js which seems to be no
 longer used and the other is from CursorPosition::deactivate() which I
 don't think ever happens, there is no way to trigger deactivate on the
 CursorPosition widget.
