[Gdal-dev] GDAL compling error HM415.lib<xdrposix.obj> : error LNK2001 : unresolved external symbol _ntoh1@4

Hi,
 
I am trying to compile GDAL with VC++ version 6 and got a
HM415.lib<xdrposix.obj> : 
error LNK2001 : unresolved external symbol _ntoh1 at 4. compling error.
 I have enabled HDF4 support in the nmake.opt file. I read Frank
Warmerdam's  
reply to Jim Julian when he had a similar problem
and I tried to include ws2_32.lib in the HDF4_LIB macro. Maybe I did
this wrong, but it
did not seem to help. Any ideas?
