[Gdal-dev] GeoTIFF file which crashes GDAL?

FYI 2:
tried to open it with gimp: besides unknown tag errors, also this one:
'resolution unit meaningless'. Loads image, upper part looks fine but after
pixel 470 (more or less) a small stroke is continuously repeated. Is this how
the image should look like?
