[Gdal-dev] VMAP0/Eurnasia -> SHAPE problems (OGR/OGDI driver)

Dear list members,

did anyone (successfully) manage to convert VMAP0/Eurnasia
to SHAPE format (or some other widely used GIS format)?

I have compiled the OGDI-3.1.1 driver on Redhat Linux (a few
Makefile changes were required), then compiled OGR with
OGDI support (CVS version of GDAL/OGR).

The 'ogrinfo' works well, but only reports for 4 maps of
76 features:

- 72 maps are reported to contain 0 features
-  4 maps contain this number of features
     Feature Count: 1424 - libref at libref(*)_line
     Feature Count: 28   - tileref at tileref(*)_area
     Feature Count: 107  - libreft at libref(*)_text
     Feature Count: 28   - tilereft at tileref(*)_text
