[Gdal-dev] How to open gtopo30?

Hi!
I download gtopo30, but GDAL can't recognize it. In document, it said gtopo30 will recognize by EHdr -- ESRI .hdr Labelled. is it right?

and i changed the extension name to "bil", but still failed.

D:\gdal>apps\gdalinfo e:\dem\e020n40.BIL
ERROR 4: `e:\dem\e020n40.BIL' not recognised as a supported file format.

GDALOpen failed - 4
`e:\dem\e020n40.BIL' not recognised as a supported file format.

Any idea, pal?
