[Gdal-dev] Use of UTM datum?

Hello,

I´m a new gdal user and I would like to transform GeoTiff files from latlong to UTM coordinates.
But I want to obtain the UTM coordinates with the PSAD56 (Provisional South America 1956) datum (not the WGS84 datum).

I have already tried with the utility program (gdalwarp) and also with de code (following the Warp API), but I always get the ouput in the WGS84 system...

I would be really thankful if someone could give some advices about this.
