Roger,

Interesting.  Basically we are talking about a variety of external text
files that can be used to provide coordinate system, geotransform and
GCPs for a variety of raster formats.

This is different enough I would hesitate to put support in GDALReadWorldFile().

I'm not eager to dig into the ozimap myself.  It looks a bit complicated.
