[Gdal-dev] OGDI question

I'm having issues with ogdi_import.  I am trying to convert a VPF layer
to shape using ogdi_import -no-dict -u
gltp:/vrf/data/Vector/NGA_VMAP/v0sas/vmaplv0/rference -f Area -o polbnd
-l 'polbnd at polbnd(*)' .  The app works in the sense that it creates a
shape file (and dbf, shx), but it doesn't import the whole layer.  When
I open the shape file and compare it to the original vmap layer it's
missing some polygons.  I did the same operation using the OGR api to
open the vmap layer and I got the same results.  What I noticed though
was that some of the polygons (like Yemen) was not actually yemen, but a
polygon that was the edge of the entire eastern hemisphere.  I know the
vmap data is correct because I viewed it in ArcView and everything was
ok.  Do you have any idea what is going on here?  I can send the shape
output if you're interested.
