Hi,

I researched the subject a bit and I came up with some interesting links:

The OSSIM resampling algs are based on ImageMagick http://imagemagick.sourceforge.net/

More on resizing is found there: http://www.imagemagick.org/www/api/resize.html

Like they say, it's based on Paul Heckbert's zoom program:

And it's true what is mentionned here: http://www.imagemagick.org/www/api/types.html#FilterTypes
that Lanczos provides the best results (even better than CC when upsampling) as I found out myself
testing it in OSSIM.
