[Gdal-dev] FWTools 0.9.2 Test Release

Frank,

I like your use of an installation frontend...will make it more comfortable
for the rest of us.

I did notice an error when starting OpenEV from the desktop icon:

Loading tools from F:\Program Files\FWTools0.9.2\tools\gvrastertools.py
'F:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable
program or batch file.
ERROR 4: `F:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\OBJ_2.png' does not exist in
the file system, and is not recognised as a supported dataset name.
... failed to load ... skipping.
Loading tools from F:\Program Files\FWTools0.9.2\tools\open_raw.py

Folks,

I have been working on overhauling my OpenEV_FW releases, now to be known as
FWTools.  I am setting up a bugzilla, and web site for them, and have been
doing some internal changes in how they are built including a nice windows
installer on windows.

I have prepared a preliminary version which I have put up at:

   http://fwtools.maptools.org/

I would appreciate it if a few folks could download and try out the
windows or linux 0.9.2 release.

My intention is to go through a few iterations working towards an FWTools
1.0
release which I hope to trumpet much more widely, potentially even issuing
a press release to some of the more conventional GIS news outlets.  I am
hoping
to achieve this by Christmas or so.

So, feedback is welcome.
