[Gdal-dev] how to show the hdf file's subdataset's speacial band?

 Hi,
    I has installed gdal 1.2.3 in my debian system, and configed with hdf
format support,and I can use gdalinfo view hdf file's metadata,this is very
excited me, and I has read the hdf file support html(in gdal's homepage),it
told me how to show subdataset's image,but I don't how to show the
subdataset's speacial band?
