Steve,

I have the same problems in some circumstances.  It has something
to do with one of the worker threads not being cleaned up properly,
so when the program ends there is still a thread keeping it alive. 

I have actually run into this for a long time.  I presume it is
somehow my fault.  Now that I have the source I hope to dig into
this more deeply.   Hopefully I will get that worked out next week.
