Yes, it is my intention to have MrSID support available
as a check-off item in the windows installer. It is a bit
unclear to me how to conform to all the current license
requirements for redistribution, but I understand
Lizardtech is working on a somewhat clearer and
simpler license that should be soon available. I
am waiting for that.
Note, that there are a variety of requirements, such as
not exporting to "bad countries" like North Korea or
Iraq that I need to adhere to in some way to
distribute software with the MrSID SDK. It is my
intention to have some sort of click-through agreement
that is only displayed if the end user turns on MrSID
support.
