Ken,

You are updating a very old snapshot.  This directory had been removed
from the repository and the code placed instead in /gdal/swig/...  If
you have no local changes you might be best served by blowing away your
current workspace and cvs co a new copy.  If you have local changes you
need to preserve, then you might try:

cvs update -Pd

Which might get you past this problem.  If it doesn't, and you're brave
you can edit gdal/pymod/CVS/Entries and remove the line for 'ng'.  If
you're not that brave, then co a new copy into a new directory and
manually merge your changes into the new code base.
