Carabas,

It is only available in GDAL CVS (and the nightly
snapshots) at this time.   It is nice that improvements
to the GDAL documentation appear on the web site
the same day.  The downside is that the web site
is documentiing GDAL-CVS and is often a bit out of
sync with the latest release.
