[Gdal-dev] New to list, issue with Swiss grid

Hello,
I am new to this list, let me introduce myself.
I am not exactly a specialist in geography related topics. However, I
use geography a lot while cruising around in the Alps where I live.
Actually, I came to GDAL while programming a tool to display GPS
tracks: Le Petit Poucet (http://petit-poucet.org). It is far from a
Google Earth killer but it is more open to any user data.
Here comes my question about the Swiss Grid. I would like to load a
scan of a SwissTopo map whose grid is said to be CH1903. I have tried
the WKT of
http://www.remotesensing.org/geotiff/proj_list/
swiss_oblique_cylindrical.html but is does not work at all.
I have then used the WKT named LV03 in:
http://lists.maptools.org/pipermail/gdal-dev/2004-October/004487.html
The false easting and northing are different and correspond to the one
given on swisstopo.ch. The result when rewarped to WGS84 is close to
correct but not exact: SRTM DEM does not match, WGS84 waypoints do not
match with the same offset. Offset is southward (+ a little eastward).
GDAL is version 1.3.1.
Does anybody know of a better WKT for the Swisstopo maps?
Thanks,
Antoine
