[Gdal-dev] Datum shifting in GDAL utilities

Dear developers,

please, could anybody tell me why the ogr2ogr and gdal_warp are using 
proj utility for coordinates transformation instead of cs2cs utility? 
This fact makes quite a big  position error after the coordinate 
transformation between coordinate systems based on diferent ellipsoids 
(the proj utility cannot make datum shifting).
