Sergey,

We had the same problem in 1.3.1.  You need to upgrade to the latest
version of GDAL and use the MrSID version 5.x SDK.  That problem has
been fixed.

Sergey,

There were some quirks with multiresolution level selection that may
have still existed in the code in 1.3.1.  You might want to try a
nightly
snapshot of GDAL and see if the problem persists.  If it does, please
submit a minimal program, a file and any supported needed details
for me to reproduce the problem.

I haven't encountered anything like this.  Once again, I
would suggest you try a nightly snapshot.  What version of
the ECW SDK are you using?
