[Gdal-dev] projection info in mapinfo tab files corrupt whenspecifying -a_srs or -s_srs and -t_srs in ogr2ogr

Now I'm confused. I had to fix this in order to get OGR working MI tabs.
Once the new release came out, I started using that version and it still
worked, so I assumed that the flag was changed in the GDAL build. Am I
wrong? Maybe I have some unintentional referencing happening!

The issue Peter has described is exactly the one which I was experiencing
and was solved by Daniel's suggestion below.

Daniel,

Should I be changing GDAL to build mitab this way?  Is there a reason this
isn't the default?
