Subject: [Gdal-dev] Contributor Agreement
GDAL Contributors,
As part of the formalization process in GDAL joining OSGeo, it is
anticipated that all committers for OSGeo projects, including GDAL, will
need to sign a "contributor agreement".
I would appreciate it if all developers who are currently GDAL
committers, or who might be interested in becoming a GDAL committer
could review the proposed CLA (individual contributor license agreement)
and/or the CCLA (Corporate Contributor License Agreement) at:
http://wiki.osgeo.org/index.php/Contributor_Agreement
Anyone providing contributions strictly on their own time would sign the
CLA while anyone doing so as part of work for an organization would need
to sign the CCLA.
So, please comment on whether you would have any personal issues with
the agreement, and if applicable also whether your employer would have
any issues with the CCLA.
Feedback can be directed to gdal-dev or back directly to me.
The CLA/CCLA is one step on the road to "incubation", or migration of
the project into OSGeo. Those interested in the OSGeo incubation
process can
visit:
http://incubator.osgeo.org/
I am acting as GDAL/OGR representative to the OSGeo incubator (as well
as chairing the Incubator).
Best regards,
