Hi Frank, I think you can add ArcGIS 9.2 to the list of projects using 
GDAL: http://tinyurl.com/gwac9 "ArcGIS 9.2 has adopted the Geospatial 
Data Abstract Library (GDAL) and supports adding custom formats through 
the GDAL format driver."
