[gdal-dev] Problem compiling the php swig bindings

Andreas,

The php bindings have not been supported by anyone for a while and are no
doubt badly broken.  Please avoid requesting them.

I wonder if we should add some sort of warning somewhere about this - perhaps
in the configure help strings for --with-php?
