[Gdal-dev] GDAL/OGR 1.4.0 Released

I read in the OGR 1.4.0 iverview of changes:

Postgres/PostGIS Driver:
  - Added schema support.

What is supported which wasn't before? It was possible to access layers 
from different schema's by using the schemaname.tablename right? What 
has been added?
