Mac OS 10.10, Postgres 8.2.3, PostGIS 1.3.1

* adding and updating features via perl SWIG bindings seems to be fine
* reading KML failed every time, after several simple attempts

* Geo::GDAL::VersionInfo('VERSION_NUM') -> 1500
      Geo::GDAL::VersionInfo() -> bus error
