[Gdal-dev] gdal_merge ignores -co on winXP/FWTools 1.3.6

Hi,
I hope that is the right place to post this problem, but on my system 
gdal_merge ignores all -co options like "COMPRESS=JPEG" and so on. I'm 
running FWTools 1.3.6 on WinXP. Can anybody confirm that?
