Hi,

I'm trying to access to this (for example) file on a opendap server but 
with no success

d:\programas\FWTools2.1.0>gdalinfo 
"http://sift.pmel.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/nph-dods/data/d1/s_1771_516_ha.nc"

ERROR 4: `/vsimem/http/00E8FC18.dat' not recognised as a supported file 
format.

notice that this works

wget http://sift.pmel.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/nph-dods/data/d1/s_1771_516_ha.nc.dds

Also, I don't see the DODS driver listed not even in the latest 2.1.0 
FWtools
