Thanks Roger. For what it's worth, I'd really like to see MSYS + MingGW 
supported, so I hope you can work this out. As I am  useless to help, 
it's just a voice of encouragement, but being able to build with a easy 
to freely available compiler (particularly one that supports building 
Python extensions) is a real plus.
