[gdal-dev] HDF V and VR components

Hi,
I want to access a number of layers in the MOD09GHK product, which are not listed by GDAL (they are 1D datasets). They have shortnames ending in "_c" rather than "_1", as is common in most MODIS products.

I have tried using pyhdf to explore these datasets, but I was wondering whether I can read these 1D arrays with GDAL directly.
