>From the top of my head, I can't remember, but the layer names are the same as the ones you can play around with in GDAL, with the final "_1" changed to "_c". The MOD09 product does have all the available observations for a given day (only the best observation is given gridded, and easily accessible through GDAL). The other observations are present there, but need to be decoded (they are in a 1D array, plus a couple of arrays to "unwrap" the data).
