There's nothing wrong with installing a shared library into a shared
directory. But it's unforgivable to replace an existing shared library
with an older version! Is it difficult to check version numbers?
A related story about version number checking: just yesterday I was
installing a brand new DVB card (SkyStar2) which gave this error:
"You have XP, service pack 3. You need XP service pack 2 or later.
Windows is out-of-date so installation will terminate." D'oh!!!
