[gdal-dev] ESRI Binary .FLT files

Has anyone any experience reading in ESRI Binary Float format files (.flt and
.hdr).  I have found discussions leading the need to add the nbits
and pixeltype keywords to the header file (.hdr) but no success stories
(myself included).

Class:  Dataset, Method: Open,
dataset = gdal.open(fltfile, readmethod)

Any advice would be appreciated.
