[gdal-dev] gdal build with dwg support

Hi list,

I'm trying hard to build gdal-ogr with openAlliance dwgdirect lib.
I've resolved many little problems already, but I still have this one :
/usr/local/src/gdal-1.5.1/.libs/libgdal.so: undefined reference to 
`OdDbHostAppServices2::key() const'

Looks like libgdal tries to link with dwgdirect and can't, right ?
why does gdal needs dwg driver ?
is there a workaround ?
