[Gdal-dev] How to read geotiff file using GDAL

But I am confused how this will happen..........

I didn't found any code on net which shows how to read the geotiff files and
extract information from it.......

Can u help me in regarding how to read .tif extension files and extracting
information. 

If any link you can provide me then it will be very helpful............
