[gdal-dev] DXF reader/writer plans? (Was: GDAL/OGR 1.5.1 Released)

Does anyone know about actual plans to add or replace the existing DXF
reader/writer?

I've already asked this some time ago. Now, from our online (geo-)converter
I got an increasing demand of a DXF reader/writer which should be part of
the GDAL/OGR standard distribution without restrictions or extra compiling
as it is now IMHO.
