[Gdal-dev] ERDAS img format from gdal rpm

The gdal rpm doesn't include the ERDAS .img format.
Is there a way to add this that doesn't involve compiling gdal.

We are using the grass rpm on Fedora 8.  I'm afraid that compiling gdal
would then require me to
compile grass.  It's so easy to use the rpm's that I hate to return to
compiling grass and gdal again.

This is the gdal rpm that I have.

gdal-1.4.2-3.fc8

grass rpms are
grass-6.2.2-2.fc8
grass-libs-6.2.2-2.fc8
