[gdal-dev] Reading Meris N1 data

Hi,

I am new to gdal and I am trying to read Level 2 Meris N1 data using the gdal module in python. I can see with gdal that there are 15 bands but I do not know how to access the datasets such as Algal1, Algal2 etc... Has anyone done that and would be able to provide me with pointers?
