kss,

That's in the gdal-dev branch (I don't really know my way around the doe
repository).  I use both Windows and Linux, and as I recall, it was easier
for me to get it running in Windows using the OSGeo4W installer then to
rebuild on Linux.

I know that's not much info, but maybe it's helpful.
