[gdal-dev] Enhance attribute index support with OGR SQL queries (shapefile and mapinfo format)

Folks,

I've added 2 tickes with working patches to implement reasonable additions
to the current (fairly limited) attribute index support.

Support attribute index scan with the sql 'IN' operator: ticket

Add attribute index support for the sql queries in mapinfo tab format: ticket
3687 <http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/ticket/3687>


I would largely be interested in applying those changes in trunk or probably
in the stable branch (considering this as a performance bug fix rather than
an enhancement).
Any further ideas/comments would be helpful.
