[gdal-dev] How can I do to load into a Bitmap an ECW image from GDAL?

Dear friends,
I'm reading the GDAL documentation, and I'm trying to represent a ECW image into a Bitmap in C#.
The problem is that when I try to load it, it give me an error of Image not recognized or bad extension.
Do I need anything else to load this images using GDAL?
