[gdal-dev] C# OGR Modify Shapefile

David,

With the latest GDAL/OGR you can add fields to an
existing shapefile, add records and delete records.  I'm
not certain if all those capabilities were available in the
last FWTools build or not.

I will note that deleted shapes aren't completely deleted
until you repack the file.  There should be some details
on repacking on the driver page.
